SPB'S EXPERIENCE:

Being an oily-skin person (read: very very oily) makeup esp a foundation is a big NO for me in Summers, be it Full/Medium/Light coverage. Many foundations broke their vows of being long lasting/staying-power/Matte on me, few creased, few caked, few washed away with sweat. Any formal event gave me a hell lot of tension, that how will I wear my makeup, God gracious that my last 3 Summers went smooth with my favourite BB Cream. But still I missed a properly done face! I have been listening all good about Double Wear from my makeup-loving friends, they all vouched for it being their most trusted esp for the Summers.
Well a lot of bragging up there, haa! let's come to the review of this beauty. The shade 1W2 Sand is perfect for NC-20 in MAC. This is a balanced warm shade perfect for medium fair skin. I personally think that the undertones are not very over-taking kind of, like not very yellowish, but kinda neutral on me. The consistency is very thin, but not runny. As you can see that in the image above it really gives a good coverage to my facial skin and conceals/cover the few red spots I have on my cheek near jawline. Yes it does give you a picture-perfect face! I applied it with fingers, but this can be layered on, although you won't need much, trust me. One thing, just keep in mind, the formula dries pretty quick, so work in the sections and finish or layer it asap, once dried you won't be able to add a layer easily, but again you won't need much layering on with this! With this one you won't need a powder puffing, but a good primer will be a cherry on the top (or under :p)
Now the sweat and oiliness part, this won't stop any of your sweat, I guess that's good, as it won't clog your pores, but trust me sweat/water will not hurt your base until and unless you rub it in, so the key is to just blot away any sweat. I can vouch for this foundation to be the one, which stayed fresh till I removed it myself. The formula is matte so you need to exfoliate your skin very well, as it may enhance any dry patches, so I am not sure if ill be able to use it in Winters (with my dry skin). One technical downer is a No-Pump.

Price: $39.50

SPB TIP:

Best foundations give even better results if the skin is properly primed. These days I love HourGlass Veil Primer, highly recommended (review will be up soon).

HourGlass Veil Primer & Estee Lauder Double Wear a perfect duo!
